Customize doclib action using Java

Dear Alfresco Hub Team,

I have customzied a doclib action using Java through Spring bean.

The customization is when i open a PDF file, i click a button to call a function in Java, what i need is how could i pass that documnet information (Ex: filename, file location path...) to Java for later use/development. 

Incase, we can not do that, would we have another way to get that document  (still using Java) ?

Please guide me how to achieve this.
