Alfresco 23.1.0 - Are there any counter indications in using Xalan 2.7.3 instead of 2.7.2-alfresco ?

The version of xalan used by Alfresco 23.1.0 (tag 23.1.0.255) turns out to have vulnerabilities, are there any contraindications to using the version of Xalan 2.7.3 which seem to have none ?
