Adding new properties to the alfresco default user using Alfresco SDK 3.0

Hello I'm wonder how to create new properties to assign to the default person/user model? As I saw in Alfresco API Explorer query example there is a key called 'properties' where you can assign custom properties(E.g 'mySmiley Tongueroperty':'value')? Can you provide a step-by-step instruction to that using Alfresco SDK 3. I need to add some roles like this: my:role: 'SYS_MANAGER'
