Show web-preview in workflow forms

I'd like to display the web previewer next to a workflow form.

I've copied workflow-details.xml to tomcat/shared/classes/web-extension/site-data/pages and in there I've defined a component

      <component>
      <region-id>previewer</region-id>
      <url>/apto/components/preview/preview</url> 
      </component>

I've also added a region into workflow-details.ftl

      <@region id="previewer" scope="page">

I've copied the web-preview component to my override location web-extension/site-webscripts/apto/components/preview (as I think I may have to change the variable names in the template), but I can't see the previewer.

Can anyone tell me what's going wrong?
