Removing the Inline Edit feature

I modified the web-client-config-actions.xml file, removing the inline editing related stuff from <action-group id="doc_details_actions">, hoping to remove this inline editing function from the alfresco system, but the layout doesn't change.

do i need to rebuild Alfresco to make it work?

Did you try adding  hide="true"  to the action?
