are there plans to add the closed embedded sub process element to the designer palette? it would be nice to have the closed element and to be able to open the sub process in a new diagram. i know opening it in the same diagram is not that easy…
Not yet, but it's a good idea. It may be a problem that we're working on the same BPMN model from two diagram editors at that point. Could you create a JIRA for this new feature request?
Hi! I found subprocess item in GPD - but it works a little bit strange. It placed subprocess item and allow to edit it's content (in separate diagram) - but <subPorcess> tag is not inserted into result bpmn20.xml - and as result, specified process cannot be deployed.
Does it mean this job is "under the development" and subprocesses is not supported well for now?
Editing the subprocess in a separate diagram was allowed a few releases back with minimal support. So we decided to remove it from the release until the support was improved. But this is certainly something we could add to the list of features to develop for the next release.
