Edit online in share problem on WAN

Dear all,

I am using alfresco for last couple of weeks and found to be great program. But there is one issue i am not able to get through and start thinking to use NUXEO now.

When using alfresco share on local LAN segment "edit online" function works very well and as intended, but even after port forwarding MS Office try to contact server and end up giving error "Could't open document on ….." and abort. All other function i.e. download, upload working fine and , preview of office docs are also ok. I feel I am doing something wrong in sharepoint. Please advice.

I have downloaded new nightly build (06/04/2013), now even edit online give same problem on lan too. Require urgent help.

How do you have the SharePoint Connector configured? What port is Alfresco/Share running on? We'll need to see your configuration/environment setup.

I eventually created a VPN server and VPN into alfresco server. It works well and files are opening on internet now. Still wondering what to do with VTI settings.

Finally my VTI settings are working and I am able to use edit online function on WAN. Great to get rid of VPN.
