Configure auto-load documents from system or shared folder

Hi,
I'm all new and may be a future integrator of Alfresco.
This may look like a novice's question but I need to know if Alfresco has the ability to automatically copy documents into its repo from local server folder or network sharing.
any clue ?

Use cifs, FTP or the bulk file loader.
