CIFS Windows 2008 Password error

Hi,

I have a fresh complete 3.2r Alfresco install on a Windows Server 2008. I get no error message while starting, so CIFS seems to work. The maschine name is "test" so in windows explorer when I try to connect to "\\testA\alfresco" actually the username / passwort box shows up, but I am not able to enter a valid combination, because windows always puts a domain before the user name. E.g. I enter "admin" "password", I get the message domain\admin logon failed. Also testA\admin fails (obviously this is not a valid domain).

I would like to add, that others machines on the domain can get connect to testA, so it's just not working locally.

Try using the ip address of your server instead of testA.

We managed to get around this same issue that way. In fact, hostnameA has never once worked for our setup under any circumstances.
