Hi everybody,

i would know if is it possible to launch the emulation of CIFS on windows 2008r2 without have : \\servernameA ?

On my actual installation of Alfresco 3.4 on Centos, i've configured the server in the file : /opt/alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/subsystems/file-server.properties/default/file-server.properties and remove the "A" after ${localhost}.

And it works… when i go on my cifs i don't need to use \\servernameA\alfresco but just \\servername\alfresco

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Yes you can but you have specific configuration to do to run CIFS emulation of the Windows 2008 R2.
Have you switched off all the sharing services of Windows ?

From my side the windows server name is different from the Alfresco server name. I didn't use the ${localname} but I have replaced it by the name that I would like for my server : Alfresco

I think we need more informations for helping you on that subject because it's a quite large one.

Good luck.

Alex.

Yes that's fine.  But there should be no need to hack the files below WEB-INF.

Just set cifs.serverName in your alfresco-global.properties.
