Can I use DFS Replication on Alfresco system?

I deployed Alfresco application on one server(OS:Windows 2003 R2), I want to make a Content Replication on Alfresco syste on alf_data directory.

The OS supports DFS(Distributed File System), my question is, can I use DFS Replication on Alfresco running system?

Thanks,

I don't know much about the windows procedure for backup and recovery….
For backup and recovery, in an ideal Linux environment, rsync is used to synchronize alf_data and mysql dump lets u take a
dump of the alfresco DB. Normally , once the rsync of alf_data is over, then you do the mysql dump, to avoid having a
corrupted repo. This is a hot backup procedure , which means , replication done on a running Alfresco System.

The Distributed File System (DFS) technologies in Windows Server 2003 R2 offer wide area network (WAN)-friendly replication
as well as simplified, fault-tolerant access to geographically dispersed files.

In that context, I presume that DFS should serve the purpose.

We don't have a remote content store to act as secondary content stores. Such remote replication can be done with RSync, but to have full transactional replication, we'd have to think about writing a remote ContentStore. Effectively, acting as a mapping service for file distribution.
