Any chance for 'Edit Online' with Firefox , OpenOffice ?

Dear colleagues,

I have browsed number of threads regarding to this, but still have no clear answer : are both IE and MS Office a strict requirements to get "Edit online" working ? Any way to "Edit online" in Firefox ? With OpenOffice ?

Also I wonder why Alfresco does not record version history when document was edited online and updated : version history is empty..

There's no in-built support for an "Edit Online" function with Firefox and OpenOffice. There may be plug-ins available for WebDAV, but if there are I'm not aware of them.

Version History will be recorded if the document is marked as "versionable" - in other words, make sure the "Versionable" aspect has been added.
