advanced search not working on my test box alfresco 4

I have backed up and restored alfresco 4 on my testbox and the search does no work properly. when i upload a new document and edit one of the fields and try to search for that value i do not get any results

I suspect that you did not backup/restore your indexes or that your indexes have been corrupted. Also be aware that if you are using Solr there is a delay between the time you upload the document and the time it can be found through search.

If you are running Lucene, either recover your index or do a full re-index.

i have removed the following dir from alf_data
lucene-index
solr/archive/SpaceStore
slor/workspace/SpaceStore

Set index.recovery.mode=FULL in properties file

restarted alfresco but it does not re-index. what am i missing

Are you running Lucene or Solr? The index recovery mode only applies to Lucene.

Check the value of index.subsystem.name.

Hi, I have the same problem and am using Solr. Advanced search, looking in the custom type, search for custom content type metadata: getting 0 results.
