Hallo at all,

in this Post here: http://bpmn20inaction.blogspot.de/2014/01/activiti-designer-5140-released.html

a form Editor is introduced and shown in the new Designer. But I cannot figure out how to use it in eclipse. Therefore, I have some questions:

1. how can I start the new Form editor in eclipse?
2. Are the created forms usable only with Activiti without Alfresco?
3. in the picture, you can see that the forms seem to support some "compex" Input types like dropdown-lists etc.
This is confusing since I was believing that only primitive inputs like text fields etc are supported by Activiti?

Thanks and best regards
Ben

Thanks for your answer. But there are still some questions:

1. Can those forms also be used with Activiti and without Alfresco? This would makes sense because Kickstart is also part of Activiti.
2. Is it possible to display those forms then in the Activiti Explorer?

Thanks and best regards
Ben

When I get this video right, those cool forms can only be used within Alfresco. Is it on the roadmap to integrate those capabilities into the Activiti Explorer, so that those forms can also be used without Alfresco? Those abilities of creating forms (multiple rows and own designs) are essential for enterprise users.

Thanks for your reply and best regards
Ben

These forms are internally stored as json, so in theory you could reuse them in Activiti and Explorer if you add quite a bit of coding for it.

We won't be adding it to Explorer, this feature is currently planned as part of Alfresco Activiti and will be part of an Enterprise offering.
