File Separation

Hello,

We are currently using Onbase 12.  Is there a way to perform Document Separation on an Imported document or is this functionality only for scanned batches?  In reading through the MRG for Onbase 12 and I am only finding instructions on how to perform Document Separation for scanned in batches.  I thought I would ask in case I am missing something.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

Carolyn

There is a new feature in the Unity Client that does this. It is found on the image tab (modify button) for a tiff image. Here is a screenshot from the 9secondFood Demo.

If you Sweep the file in then you can have it go into the Documentation Separation.

From Document Imaging choose your scan queue and right click in the open area, pick Sweep (instead of Scan) and then pick Import File from the next menu.  It only works with Tiff files, so if you sweep in a PDF it won't let you split the PDF.

Carolyn,

You can perform document separation on import by enabling the 'Advanced Document Splitter' privelege for the user group:

This will enable a 'Split' button on the import dialog that will allow you to separate documents as in scanning:

Thanks Jason!  That is exactly the functionality we are looking for.  In our test system I just checked the priveleges for my User Group and the Advanced Document Splitter option was checked.
