Workflows in Nuxeo 5.6 RC1

I have recently installed Nuxeo 5.6 RC1. When I access the documents in DM module, the workflow tab is missing. I created a new document type through Nuxeo Studio but the workflow tab for it is also missing in DM. Please let me know if there are any settings required for enabling workflow tab.

Also please provide pointers to any documentation available for creating Routes in Nuxeo 5.6 DM
