How do I make the preview detect document orientation?

Working with 5.4.2 In Nuxeo DM.

While previewing a standard portrait document, preview works fine. But when previewing a document where orientation is landscape (as with a .ppt or .odp), the preview is created with portrait orientation, except for background image, which create strange results.

Is there any way to fix this?

Preview relies on third-party converters. Nuxeo does nothing special about them, except pass them some command line options.

Please check the "Install and set up related software" documentation.

If you provide a specific example then maybe we can have a look.
