*URGENT* Alfresco Newbie - questions on groups/user visibility on community version

Greetings from Chicago:

I have 10 clients (each have about a total 30 word and excel documents).  Can I setup Alfresco community edition on a hosted server (AWS / Google etc) and set each client as a group and then add the users for that client under that group.   There will only be one instance of Alfresco running at docman.domain.com

Group1 (for Client A) has 5 users.   Group2 (for Client B) has 6 users.  Group3 (for Client C) has 5 users.   When user from Group1 logs in, he should only see the documents/areas for Group1 and should not be able to browse / search and see other Group users (from Group2, Group3 etc) or Group documents.   Group1 users should feel that the Alfresco instance is dedicated to them.

Can this be done and How do I do this ?

Second question - how do I enable 2FA

Thanks

You can just create a Share site for each customer, in this way you can set permissions assigning each groups to a specific role in Alfresco.

Please notice that if you are using Digital Workspace or the Alfresco Content App the collaboration site in those apps now is named Library.

Take a look at the following pages in the official documentation:

https://docs.alfresco.com/content-services/latest/using/sites/

https://docs.alfresco.com/content-services/latest/using/permissions/

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

PJ

Thanks PJ, I was able to get this going.  I now have an issue opening word document from Alfresco.  I will post that question in another thread
