is it possible to rename the selected file during/after uploading?

There is a filename parameter that can be used and process variables can be used to generate the filename.

Can you give me an example? I can't find it.

I want to create a directory in the content area and this should be filled with xml templates, then a user should select a template e.g. work.xml and this document should then be copied and renamed to user_a_work.xml.

Currently I'm just making a copy and the file is called copy of work.xml

if you are uploading using java code then you can set name for that file which you want to upload.
