How to integrate exiftool with Alfresco for XMP metadata extraction ?

Hi, 

We identified that with exiftool we will be able to extract XMP metadata for file types such as EPS, PSD, GIF, PNG, AI, etc.

Would like to know whether we can integrate exiftool with Alfresco for this feature.

Researched and found a tool that is available in https://libraries.io/github/Alfresco/tika-exiftool. Unfortunately there is no information available on how to integrate the tool with Alfresco.

You are referring to a very old example project. There should be no need to integrate ExifTool into Alfresco since the current version already includes the Tika framework and should already be able to extract XMP / EXIF metadata. Potentially, some additional configuration may be necessary to provide a more elaborate content model to hold all the properties and/or extract/map all the relevant properties to Alfresco properties.
