Shared Workspaces Created In Company Home
When a Shared Workspace is created in Office, a space is created in the repository to represent it. This space is created within Company Home, therefore the user creating the Shared Workspace must have CREATE_CHILDREN permission on the Company Home space.
Trusted Sites
When attempting to create a Shared Workspace an error maybe encountered suggesting the site be added to your list of Trusted Sites. To do this follow the steps below:
Space Appears At The End Of URL
When attempting to create a Shared Workspace the URL is pre-populated if a previous attempt has been made. Sometimes an extra space is added onto the end of the URL which results in an error, remove the space and attempt creation again.
Issue when using JDK 1.6
There is a version mismatch with JAXB RI.
This causes the initialization of the Alfresco Application Context to fail when starting Tomcat with exception:
java.lang.LinkageError: JAXB 2.0 API is being loaded from the bootstrap classloader, but this RI (from jar:file:/opt/alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/lib/jaxb-impl-2.1.7.jar!/com/sun/xml/bind/v2/model/impl/ModelBuilder.class) needs 2.1 API. Use the endorsed directory mechanism to place jaxb-api.jar in the bootstrap classloader.
The problem occurs when using JDK 1.6 updates 0 to 3 with Alfresco.
To work around this issue, you can add the file jaxb-api-2.1.jar from alfresco.war's \WEB-INF\lib to tomcat\common\endorsed directory.
This issue is not present starting with JDK version 1.6.0_4.
