Hi friends,
I'm newbie to alfresco.
In alfresco's user guide i found NTLM under the security section.
can anyone tell me the use of NTLM in alfresco? and what is NTLM?
even i googled about it but cameback with empty hands.
Any body guide me to configure it with labs 3.0 stable version.

hi Mrogers,
Thanks for your response. Actually my question is how it is useful for alfresco?
In words, what is the use of supporting the NTLM in alfresco?

NTLM will allow you to log onto Alfresco with your Windows account and password rather than having a separate alfresco user name and password.

If you have some sort of single sign on infrastructure in your organisation then what is it?   Older windows networks may use NTLM, More recent Windows networds will be Active Directory or Kerberos.   Unix networks will tend to be LDAP and/or Kerberos.
