Weird new icon

Hey , so im not sure if im posting this at the right spot but here we go.

So since the latest Chrome upgrade my users started to complain about a new icon appearing.

So i was wondering if anyone else saw this.

Edit : oh forgot to add , the button does nothing you can't click it either left or right , also i scoured the page with element inspecter and couldnt find anything weird. Im not website guru though 😃

Weird, what specific version of Alfresco are you running?

The version is 3.4 .

Also the icon appear only when browing repository.

Anyone else get that icon with the latest version of Chrome ?

I'm getting the same weird little icon in Chrome too. Just showed up one day. It doesn't seem to affect anything like you said, but I'm looking at deploying Alfresco and I cringe at the thought of how many emails I'll get asking about that icon.

Can anyone at Alfresco try this and confirm it?

Edit: I'm experiencing this on Alfresco 4.2.e Community Edition.

  i also getting search icon in chrome while accesing repository and we are using alfresco community 4.2.c, please help me how to resolve this issue.

Google has updated Chrome and this bug has gone away. Today I checked for a Chrome update and was upgraded to "Version 33.0.1750.149 m" and the weird icon bug on Alfresco 3.4.x and 4.2.x is no longer observed here.

There is an Alfresco JIRA issue (ALF-20860, https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-20860) where this is being tracked.
