Web Quick Start in Alfresco Community 4.0

Is there a little bug in Web Quick Start in connection with Alfresco Community 4.0 ?

I have this questions because after a fresh clean install of Afresco on Linux there was only an Error message when I try to connet with http://localhost:8080/wcmqs

How can I solve this problem?

Yes, unfortunately there is a fault in the CMIS query engine in 4.0.a that is breaking WQS. As I mentioned in the announcement at the top of this forum, this is being worked on now and we're hoping to get another release out later this week. Sorry about that.

When the next release comes next week, have I to reinstall Alfresco Community 4.0 ? Or can I update? Which files I have to update?

The official upgrade process is described on the wiki. There may be shortcuts that you can take, but it's hard to make specific recommendations without knowing exactly what you installed (and how you installed them). For example, you may be able to take the new alfresco.war and share.war and install the Web Quick Start modules into them and then deploy them (along with the updated solr.war) over your existing ones. Another option might be to reinstall a clean copy, export the content from your existing installation as an ACP, and then import that ACP into your new installation.

The next release where the WQS Problem of Alfresco Community 4.0a is fixed, is it the Version Alfresco Community 4.0b ? or have I to download the 4.0a version again?

How can I see that the next relased is published?

The download page on the Alfresco wiki and Sourceforge will be updated with 4.0.b when it's released. We'll also put an announcement on the main page of the wiki.
