Users home vs users site

Hello !

I'm having a personal debate with myself at the moment On my Alfresco 4.0d, I've added a "My Documents" link to the top header of the Share page (next to my Dashboard). This link targets to the Repository / User Homes / user folder. But is it a best practice ?

What is or would be the best for each user to store his own documents ? Using the Repository Users Homes or create a private for every user ?

I notived that Users Homes are not available fro the mobile apps, and the Alfresco Sync…

Hi,

Up to you. You can configure how user homes are setup by default using the following configuration: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Security_and_Authentication#Creating_home_spaces_-_from_1.4_onwards. (Wiki links may need updating). You can move them to a different location if you want.

Thank you for your input. So no best practice ?

Now, if I want a mobile user to access his home from the mobile app. What would you suggest to do ? where should I move the home to ?
