User is able to exceed quota

I set a user's quota to 0 (Zero)
Then log in as that user and I'm still able to upload files to "My Files" and exceed the quota
In the Admin Tools, the user's usage is not updated and still shows 0 bytes
Tried restarting the service but nothing changed

Alfresco version: 4.2.d

Hi,

it's certainly because quota calculation is disabled on your repository.
To enable quota calculation, you need to add following to your [ALFRESCO]/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.properties file :
system.usages.enabled=true

Then restart your alfresco instance : quota calculation should be enabled.
