Hi guys, i've been tasked with implementing a document portal that is accessible by our customers through their browser enabling them to view invoices as well as other client specific files. I've spent this morning playing around within the software but i'm still not sure if I've got it right.
The requirements I was given were something like this:
"A customer heads to our website (hosted elsewhere), clicks a link that takes them to a secure login for our webserver, they then enter their login details and are taken to their respective 'folder' on our webserver. Here they can download pdf's - that we keep up to date - without being able to see the folders or documents relating to other customers."
How i'd intend to do this with Alfresco - from what I can gather - is to create a private site and attach a group to that site for each customer, then put each member into their respective group so that they can see the documents uploaded to their 'site'. Does this sound like the right way of going about this / is Alfresco the right CMS for my needs?
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Rob
