Hello,

In the 4.2.c version the link <edit online> doesn’t  work, the los files are empty.
The acces with MS office by using the adresse http://My_server:7070/alfresco does work.
The 4.2.b version works perfectly with the same configuration. Alfresco is installed on a Windows 2008 standart edition server.

Thank you

Hi

I can confirm the problem. Sharepoint works perfectly within Office but not when clicking the button in Share.
Just upgraded from 4.2.b… Smiley Sad

Is there maybe already a solution?

SOLVED!!!!!

0- backup, backup, backup
1- Stop alfresco
2- Download the 4.2.d NightlyBuild zipfile.
3-Uncompress
4- Copy new share.war into extisting tomcat/webapps directory
5- Restart Alfresco
6- Replace from old share.war (4.2.c) to new deployed directory into tomcat/webaspp/share the directory:

@emic17 Thx a lot!
Sharepoint now works charmingly.
I just performed steps 0) to 5) and encountered no further problems.

The solution proposed by emic17 will update all of your Alfresco install to the 4.2.d nightly, which might have other unwanted side effects (ah, living on the bleeding edge…).

For people who want to fix this issue on 4.2.c without upgrading to the nightlies, you need to add the JS function <strong>Alfresco.util.onlineEditUrl</strong> to <strong>alfresco.js</strong> (as described by Kevin Roast on <a href="https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-17221">ALF-17221</a>) and regenerate alfresco-min.js.

I took the liberty to create an AMP file containing the correct JS files; you can see the <a href="https://github.com/Pluies/Alfresco-EditOnline4.2.c-fix">sources + install instructions here</a> and download the amp itself there:
