Hi,

I'm on alfresco share 4.2.f, I created a folder with name "VAULT" under root, when i create a new user, a new folder is created "my files".

I want that all new users, got by default the "VAULT" folder.

Thanks.

Then you need to place the "VAULT" folder in the "shared" folder in the repository. Then all users will have that folder.

//edit I assume that you want both existing and additional users to have access right? Otherwise you can setup permissions on each folder.

hi ESWBitto,

I tried the first suggetion, but all the users in different groups can edit the folder (I want that some of them just read the contents, and the others to modify) even whene i change folder permossions,it doesn't work.
For the seconde, i tried too, but whene i creat a new user, he gots the my files folder and has no access to other folders.

thanks.

The way that folder creation works is this. When you initially create a folder it has inherit permissions from the parent folder. So you have to turn inherit permissions off and then assign the folder to a specific group. Sorry for the late response I have been away.

Thank you ESWBitto, It worked like you said.
