Search for documents not modified in a year

Hi,

Does anyone know how to search for documents that have not been read or modified since date X.

I know that I can search for modified documents but to be able to clean up document libraries I need to be able to search for documents that have not been used for some time.

Hello,

as long as you have not enabled any kind of read access tracking, there is no way to search for documents that have not been used in some time. Alfresco defines a property cm:accessed in the content model, but this is not being actively maintained by Alfresco without customization (for performance reasons). If that were to be maintained, you could use it for your search.

In terms of searching for documents that have "not" been modified since date X - this is basically the same as searching for documents that have been modified with a negated condition on cm:modified. It is currently not possible to define a negated condition using the Advanced Search of Share, but you can define such a query in the "keywords" field as well, e.g.

TYPE:"cm:content" AND NOT cm:modified:[2012-12-20 TO NOW]
