Hi,
I installed Alfresco 3.2r, and then records managament module. (Windows platform)
I could successfully add the RM dashlet, create the RM site, and "Load Test Data" worked fine. (logged in as the admin user)

When I click on the "Management Console" link, the page opens but I get the following message on all pages inside the RM Console:
"Access Denied - additional permissions are required to access this component."

I think i missed something - what should I do?

Add the admin user to the Records Management Administrators group using the (normal) admin console.

Hi i am using console to add new custom properties to serias, but the problem here is i cant find option to delete them.
Do i need to look into source or what?
For example i define wrong type for date and now i cant delete old one by replacing with the new one, i am getting the below error
Caused by: org.alfresco.error.AlfrescoRuntimeException: 10090003 Property already exists: rmc:date at org.alfresco.module.org_alfresco_module_dod5015.RecordsManagementAdminServiceImpl.addCustomPropertyDefinition
(RecordsManagementAdminServiceImpl.java:268)

Delete is not implemented.   Yet …

It's a known issue

Sometime after we get agreement for how it should work :?

Off the top of my head…

Method #1 - If you delete a custom metadata field, it will remove it and any information entered for that field for all records (Drupal's CCK metadata works this way)

Method #2 - If you delete a custom metadata field, it will prevent anything new from being entered, but will show any historical metadata even if the field was deleted. (Resource 24 scheduling system works this way for custom even metadata)

Method #3 - Both #1 and #2

There is no support for deleting custom properties or references (associations) in the DOD module.
There is another post on this forum that gives further information on why that is and a workaround in case you find you have to (note that limitations apply).
