I'm an ex-Apple user, now switching to Android.  Under the iPad mobile app I was able to preview documents in the Alfresco mobile app.  I'm not able to do so in the Android version.  Is there something else I need to add/configure or is preview just not supported at all for Android?

Hello,

Android doesn't embed any File/Document/Image Previewer by default like Apple does.
In this way Android works more like Windows. You need at least one 3rd party application/software to open the file/document associated.

In this case the app download the content of the file and request a 3rd party app to open it.

Hope it helps.

Good to know, but a bit disappointing as the previewer is what made the iPad version so useful to me.  It's much less user friendly to have to download and then view vs. quickly preview.  Oh well…

I agree - hopefully it's something Google will choose to add in a future version of Android. Until then there are several free or low-cost document preview apps available depending on the file formats you're interested in.

Thanks,
Mike
