more than one file per document

Hi forum,
I have the needs to add more than file (pdf) file to a single document.
This, in our way of work, it's typical because we want to have a single searchable document for certain files.
We didn't find a solution except that one that creates two different documents with a similar title that connect themselves.

There is a tool called PDF toolkit that you can embed in Alfresco that will allow you to merge PDFs into a single document, but you would have to code the rules in Java / Javascript to make it "automatic".
