I have installed the community version on a Windows machine 2 months ago. Since then I have created a number of sites and also uploaded a number of documents on each site. My big question is this:

My installation is based on postgreSQL but I want to migrate all my content to MySQL. I have searched the internet but could not find a proper solution. Would some one please give me the steps on how to migrate, either via backup/restore or export/import.

Regards

This probably not the answer you're looking for but it's they way I dealt with it. I faced the reverse issue (moving from mysql to postgreSQL) and could not find a reliable solution or one that was within my technical capability so I installed the new version of alfresco on a different computer and then copied all the documents via cifs.
I had not been using versioning so that wasn't an issue. I recall that the document modified dates changed to that day which was the only real annoyance.
Fortunately I only had 3 sites in share and a total of 6 users so recreating them manually was the quickest solution.
