I have installed the community version 4.2_e on a Centos 6.4
I have an external SAN which is mounted a boot on /mnt/lnxshare
I created a directory /mnt/lnxshare/alf
then I defined in my alfresco-global.properties
<blockcode>
dir.root=/opt/alfresco-4.2.e/alf_data
dir.contentstore=/mnt/lnxshare/alf/contentstore
dir.contentstore.deleted=/mnt/lnxshare/alf/contentstore.deleted
</blockcode>
I copied my contentstore and contentstore.deleted from /opt/alfresco-4.2.e/alf_data to /mnt/lnxshare/alf/ with the same permissions.
I then restarted Alfresco. Sadly will not start. SOLR refuses connection and I get pages of stack traces (Printed over 80 pages) Seems SOLR is not happy about something.
I have read every post where it says this should work, but they all waffle on about Windows and I do not have Windows. My installation is now fubar and no longer starts.
What should I do?
The documentation is so lightweight on this subject as to be laughable. Is my only option to begin again? to re-install from scratch?
Assuming that all content has been lost (it has) if I delete contentstore and contentstore.deleted and the solr and solr.deleted and keystone directories will alfresco restart?
Any help would be appreciated as I am rapidly running out of time for this implementation and I refuse to believe this product is Windows only that would really suck.
Help please…..
