Language pack not working in 3.4.a?

Installed 3.4.a for testing purposes. First thing I noticed was that the language pack isn't working at all. While it works OK in 3.3g, I can't see anything translated in 3.4.a
I put the complete folder structure (starting with "messages/" and "site-webscripts/") with all the .properties in "tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/" and in "tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/web-extension/", but nothing.

Has something changed in 3.4.a?

Thought about something to test: use the localized IE browser, and got the right translation.
Apparently 3.4.a detects the locale in a different way that 3.3g and older.

Does anyone know a way to "force" Share to use a certain language pack, or give the user the option?

I've managed to get languages working on Alfresco 3.4.a by placing the content of the language in

<alfresco-root>/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/messages‍

and then edit the language section in the file

<alfresco-root>/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/web-client-config.xml‍

in order to choose - in the login page, what language i'll use in Alfresco.

tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/messages

I was hoping for an option for Share to force the usage of a certain language.
I know you can add this option to the login screen of Alfresco Explorer, but I'd like to have the same option in Alfresco Share.

Anyone any ideas?

Try something like this "-Duser.language=ru -Duser.region=RU" in your startup script. (It's for ru_RU).
Note that there options force selected language for ALL(!) your users.
I think is better to change preferred language in your browser settings. - in this case user can control language of his own user interface.

Unfortunatly for me, this does not work for Share so I guess I will just remove message files from other languages..
