Hi, an Alfresco Module Package or AMP is "a collection of code, XML, images, CSS, etc. that collectively extend the functionality or data provided by Alfresco" as stated here https://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/AMP_Files You should always package your extensions in an AMP file and apply them on a original Alfresco installation, in order to keep things well separated/. This would be very useful when applying Alfresco patches.
