Hi All,
I have some feedback and like to get advice

I am working on a Demo on Alfresco, some of the situation bit confusing to explain are

User James create a Folder named JamesFolder, later user "Mickey" create files under  folder "JamesFolder"

The JamesFolder is always showing that it is modified by James, even though other users like "Mickey" and others creating new files and folder under "JamesFolder"
What I could not apprehend is that, why should it still shows "James" modified this folder, since other users other than "James" is uploading into this folder

Advice requested
thanks
Joseph John

Alfresco spaces are not implemented in exactly the same as unix folders for example.

In general adding a child to a folder does not modify the folder itself, what its doing is adding a new association.   Changing something like the folder's name is a change to the folder node.

In some situations (such as whether propogate timestamps is turned on of if you are using IMAP) the folder will be updated,  but in general that's badness to avoid since it introduces contention on the folder node and therefore decreases performance,
