What do you mean by "integrate with sharepoint"?

Hi,
I want to use sharepoint with alfresco. How can I configure it?

In what way do you want to integrate them?  What do you want to achieve through this integration?  What should it look like?  Are you sharing files between them somehow?

Hey Hi,
Thanks for reply. Actually I want to upload files from any client machine to alfresco which is installed on ubuntu server. So for that I want to configure the sharepoint with alfresco.

Is there any better way to upload the files on ubuntu server from any client machine.

Thanks in advance.

Alfresco uses the sharepoint protocol to edit documents that are within Alfresco. If you are wanting to "import" files into alfresco you could just do the drag and drop method. Depending on the version you have installed you might be able to do the builk import. I'm not savvy on which version that is for though.

Hey ESWBitto,
I'm talking about without accessing alfresco through browser. Can we directly upload microsoft document to alfresco?

You can through webdav. In word save as and then type in the url OR (I find this to be easier) is to have an already mapped shared drive to alfresco install. That will make it easier.

You can map I think a couple of different ways.

1.) \\fqdn.com@SSL\DavWWWRoot\Alfresco

2.) fqdn.com/alfresco/webdav

It will vary if you require to have the port number in the path as well. We setup a reverse proxy to take care of that so you'll have to test it.
