How to manage the version history of documents via the WebDav interface

I am using Alfresco 5.0 community. I want to know if it is somehow possible to manage the version history of document(older versions of documents) via the WebDav interface of Alfresco?

I tried to upload the existing documents via WebDav, but version number of the uploaded document doen't changed (still 1.0) and there is no version history (can't access to the old version document)

You need to enable versioning on perticular document. Once you do that it has "Versionable" aspect associated with that document. After that only document create new version with each modification.
