how to display the metadata without changing the content type

Hi,

I have defined my own custom model as "my:doc". when I upload any new doc I have to change the content type to "my:doc" to display its metadata  . Is it possible the document can be uploaded with "my:doc" content type
and i don't have to change the content type every time i upload a document ?

Please guide.

The other option is you set a rule on particular folder so that every time a content is uploaded to it, it changes the type to your desired content type "my:doc".

Changing the js file from this location tomcat\webapps\share\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\site-webscripts\org\alfresco\components\upload\flash-upload.get.js does not work for me.But applying the rule does work fine.
