How to deal with duplicate sites ?

Hi,

I'm using Community Edition 5.0.0d and Itried to import a site made on another server with alfresco-share-import-export extension. I tried 2-3 times (I didn't see the .acp's limitation with tags)  and now I have duplications of the site (see attachment).

They are all linked, if I delete one they are all deleted and they also share the same url.

In the repository/Sites, it appears once.

How could I cleanup the site's list ?

Do you have a database backup that you can easily roll back to? I am afraid it will not be possible to resolve this just via the Alfresco user interface. Maybe if you have the JavaScript Console addon installed can you delete one of the duplicates via scripting. Otherwise I am afraid you might have to resort to database manipulation to fix this if you cannot restore the state before using a backup.

Sadly, I don't have any backup yet but I can try with the JavaScript Console addon...

I deleted the faulty site and emptied my trashcan. Can't see anything related to this site in repository and groups -> fine

But now if I try to find a site, nothing shows and this error is cathed (in alfresco.log) :

If I recreate the site with the same name, I'm with the initial behavior : site finder works and three times the same site showed. 

I'm lost, any idea ?

Due to the identical name of the sites, when you deleted the duplicate the system deleted the default groups for the site. You would have to recreate them via the admin tools in Share. They all have names based on the site short name and roles they server:

• site_nameOfYourSite
• site_nameOfYourSite_SiteManager
• site_nameOfYourSite_SiteCollaborator
• site_nameOfYourSite_SiteContributor
• site_nameOfYourSite_SiteConsumer

The first group should contain all the other four.
