Since Alfresco now has support for forums within the product, is there any reason not to migrate the site forums to an alfresco host? This could have many potential advantages, such as

showing the community how best to implement
discovering limitations and opportunities
etc.

not to mention the vote of confidence this would provide

hahaha throwing down the gauntlet?  Interesting but I am not sure I can agree.  PHP BB and clones have huge amounts of traction which means from a useability perspective more people already know it and the barrier to entry is lower.  Also alfresco can be used to back a forum, it would be a great use but the alfresco webclient forums are oriented around a document (which makes sense in its context, but not for a open source projects forums IMO)
