I subscribe to all activity on the forums and I get a news feed on my browser of new posts.

Of late the feed is occasionally jammed with posts looking like the URL below.

https://forums.alfresco.com/forum/installation-upgrades-configuration-integration/installation-upgra...

Whilst I cannot read the message, it really doesn't seem likely to be Alfresco related as today this one user (gddtdhv) who had only existsed for just over 4 hours had made 10 posts. Another called ljuggyf had made some 37 posts in just over 3 hours. An example is the UrL below.

https://forums.alfresco.com/forum/installation-upgrades-configuration-integration/installation-upgra...

Another user for 50 minutes (tdtdhfyf) has made 10 posts.

I don't know if there is anything you can do about it, but these user ids look like they are randomly generated and if nothing else its irritating.

Yes its very irritating and I'm fed up with having to delete these accounts.   Recently most of the Alfresco folks have been at Alfresco Summit but now we are back I'm wondering how to thwart this particular spammer.

I could ask to make you a forum adminstrator so you could delete this junk!

But I'd like to stop this junk.  Not sure how yet.  Ideas welcome.

Hi,
here it comes again another "user" drsfytftd cluttering the forum with rubbish…
I'm trying to participate as much as I can, but this situation could frustrate a lot of usere searching for tips especially if they're in troubles.
They're always using arab characters, is it possible to filter out comments with this charset?
At least it will work for these….

Regards,
Andrea

One week or so ago we turned up the strictness on the spam filter. Hopefully that solves it without getting a lot of false positives.
