File links in wiki entries

Hi, we're currently using Share 3.0 (we plan to upgrade, but it seems more diffecult than expected). However, I created a blog post. The first think I found out was that having a bulleted list and creating link for one list entry (the whole text of this entry) doesn't work. It doesn't create a link but instead formats the text as italics.
Ok, then I found a workaround to simply only select a part of the text before clicking the link button. Now, if I want to enter a file link like e.g. file:///Z:/shared_docs/test.doc it creates a link. The destination is correct. I can copy the link address and open it as a new page and the download window pops up. But, if I simply click on the link, nothing happens. Even "save as…" doesn't work. It seems as if there's a problem with the CSS or something.

Can anybody help?

Thanks a lot!

I'd encourage you to upgrade. We dumped the YUI Editor in place of TinyMCE for reasons like the ones you've hit.

Thanks,
Mike

Smiley Very Happy Great, I was expecting to get such an answer. We already tried it. But after backing up the DB and starting alfresco 3.2, we got some DB inconsitency warning and the booting was aborted…

If you've still got the logfile, post it here to see if it's a fixable issue.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, thanks for your reply.

Actually, I was not the one who tried to install it. I will tell the guy who did it and advise him to open a new thread for this issue. And hopefully after installing 3.2, the editor issues will be gone…

Cheers,

Jan
