Dear all,

I followed the installation guide and installed Alfresco 4.2.1 in Easy mode on a clean installed Centos 6.5 for evaluation, however after the installation completed (without any errors prompt at least), I cannot access Alfresco by http://127.0.0.1:8080/share, it shows error below, both postgresql and tomcat is running by "service alfresco status ", did I miss something or any prerequisite software needed for Alfresco?

HTTP Status 404 -/share

type status report

message /share

description The requested resource is not available

Apache Tomcat/7.0.42

Thanks.

Hi,
you should provide your alfresco.log file in order to allow us to take a look to what's going wrong.

Regards,
Andrea

Hi,
it seems an issue related to host name resolution:
<cite>
Caused by: org.alfresco.error.AlfrescoRuntimeException: 05050000 Failed to get server IP address

Caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: alfresco: alfresco: Temporary failure in name resolution
at java.net.InetAddress.getLocalHost(InetAddress.java:1466)
</cite>
Check your host configuration.

Regards,
Andrea

If my servername is datanet

and my /etc/hosts is like

127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6
