Hi,

I am attempting to get Alfresco working on my machine:
Alfresco 1.2 JBoss bundle
Windows XP SP2
Java & MySQL as specified in Release notes.

When I start JBoss, I get the error "Error Accessing Win32 NetBIOS, check DLL is in the path".

D:\Alfresco\bin is on my path - I even tried to copy it in the system32 directory …

Please help,
Thanks-

I'm using the tomcat install (not integrated with JBOSS)…
seem to always get this working by just copying the
Win32NetBIOS.dll to the c:\windows\system32 directory…

I think you only need this for CIFS to work…  does that work?

I am running XPsp2 also…

I have copied both DLLs yesterday - it did not work - this morning I rebooted my Windows and the error message desapeared …
Not sure if one needs to reboot the system for new DLLs to be found by Windows (???) what do you think?
It might also be that I got so frustrated with Alfresco yesterday that I got slightly confused …
Thanks anyway for your answer …
By the way - I can now see my MYMACHINE_A server, but user/password admin/admin does not work  - as you are using the same Windows as me you might have a clue?
I think the documentation for the different Alfrescos: "simple"/JBoss/Tomcat is weak and making them better would dramatically increase its use, as people would not be turned-off trying to make it work … You know what you say "the first impression …".

Thanks!
