Is there a difference between the email notification service in community vs. enterprise? When I follow the online tutorial for modifying the email notifications, I notice that several of the email options under the Share admin console are not listed on the community edition, whereas they appear to be showing up on the enterprise edition used in the tutorial…
I do not believe there is any difference in the underlying email service between Community and Enterprise. Enterprise does provide an admin console UI to configure outbound email, but those parameters can be set manually in the xml configuration file.
There may be a difference between versions, which versions are you comparing? There have been a few batches of work improving and fixing the configuration of the email subsystems, so one is probably 'in advance' of the other.
