As in the question, I wanted to know if the assets ordering of a static collection is maintained.
In particular when the collection get published trough the wcmqs workflow.

I am asking because I am quite sure that some of them got rearranged.

Well, seems that I am in the habit of answering my own questions, it's a bad record for me 😐

However, don't know if it's the case for everyone, but I can confirm that all my static collections get reordered. I mean, the order of insertion is not maintaned and the assets get 'shuffled'.

Beside that, once published trough the wcmqs workflow, the destination collection has a different order than the authoring one.

Unless there is a specified order its best to assume that collections in alfresco are not ordered.    Certainly not ordered by "insertion order",  even if it does appear to give "insertion order" that's not guaranteed.

It is something I would definitely write in the documentation.
