Cannot Edit Files Online (Alfresco 3 Stable - Mac OS X)

Hello (& Thanks in Advance  ),

My Problem: 

I've successfully installed Alf_Stable3 along with support (ImageMagick, swftools, Openoffice).  I'm seeing no Major error messages:

I am working within the Share environment's Document Library.  HERE is where the problem arrises.  I cannot preview documents and I cannot Edit online any Documents (.doc, .odt, .txt, .rtf or .pdf).  From what I've read so far, I'm supposed to be able to do this.  I have updated the vti module per other posts as well.  Could there be a Root user issue?  I've installed under root user permissions?

What am I doing wrong?

oh!  Another tidbit of info…

Swftools:  My copy of swftools (pdf2swf) is located in dir.  (/opt/local/bin)
I editted the Repository-Conf.xml in the WEB-INF directory

OpenOffice:  My copy of OO is located in dir. (/opt/alfresco/openoffice.org)
wasn't sure if this should be editted somewhere.  I could not find a start_oo.sh file.

okay… well I see now that it's the PDF2SWF that's not working.  I read that there's a working copy of the PDF2 SWF 0.9? will this work on Mac?
